We invite you to conversations about… ...co-facilitation Co-facilitation is the art of two people working together to facilitate a group. Or, from Marie’s PhD research: Co-facilitation is a dynamic working relationship focussed on the task of facilitating a group, involving strong, self-reliant individuals who share a commitment to each other, the task of co-facilitation and the profession. Co-facilitators develop and implement processes for working together, as well as processes for working with the group, in order to help the group achieve identified outcomes in a professional way that is greater than the sum of the energies of all of the individuals involved. Each of the workshops listed for ‘facilitation’ can be undertaken with a focus on ‘co-facilitation’. Or, you might like to choose from one of the following. Basics of co-facilitation This highly interactive workshop invites participants to think and talk about co –facilitation using analogy and metaphor in order to ‘get to the basics’ of what makes co-facilitation work.
The magic of co-facilitation This workshop helps co-facilitators how they can use their differences to create magic.
Working on the edge of chaos This workshop draws on complexity theory to examine the co-facilitation experience. Four low-impact games will be used as analogies for the underlying structures of the co-facilitation experience. Participants will reflect on their individual and collective participation in the games and discuss the ways in which these responses were similar to and different from experiences of co-facilitation. |
